Letterboxd ~ FOMMIT ~

There’s a new epidemic that has been sweeping the nation. With streaming services and delivery services making it easier than ever to stay home, people are losing out on things that made life simpler. Going outside, doing things, making connections, and talking about things in a community environment. Letterboxd helps solve one of these issues, but the others are still there yet to be fixed.

INSIGHT: Most people wait for movies to come out on streaming services, but that makes them miss out on the discourse that occurs when the movie is initially released in theaters, leading to isolation. (Spoiler alert, that’s bad.)

BIG IDEA: Create a fake “drug” to get people in theaters to watch movies as soon as they come out and encouraging them to leave reviews on Letterboxd.

Social media initiative

To create public awareness about the behavior that needs to be changed, we created an “illness” that targets people who wait for movies to come out on streaming services. Below is our strategy to get the word out to fans of Letterboxd.

Phase 1: The discovery and PSA warning the public about the condition of FOMMIT.

Phase 2: Sharing symptoms of the condition of FOMMIT to alert people that they or their loved ones may be suffering from this illness.

Phase 3: The rollout of Lodoft, which is the only cure for FOMMIT. It’s an over the counter “drug” that’s a confectionery. That is a really fancy word for candy. It’s just candy.

yes this is spec work. hire me and we can make some cool stuff like this!
